Showering & bathing
- Showering with an ostomy can be done with the pouching system on or off.
- There are no restrictions; however, if using soap near the stoma, be sure to wash it off to ensure pouch adherence.
- It is best to keep the pouch on to prevent stool or urine from contaminating the bathwater when bathing.
