Macdonalds Prescriptions specializes in the management of acute and hard to heal wounds. As a private clinic, we are staffed by Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence.

Wounds can be complex, and understanding the cause of the wound will assist in the treatment plan. Not all wounds are healable. If the wound is healable, then treating the cause will help the wound in healing—referrals to podiatry, orthotists, and home health are provided as needed. Our home health department carries a wide range of dressing supplies. Not finding the dressing you want, discuss with our team of experts as they have access to multiple additional products.

Your initial assessment will include:

• A detailed wound care assessment
  • Discussion on healbility of the wound and your goals
  • A management plan specific to your needs, including offloading and or compression for a lower leg wound
  • Dietary discussion to promote wound healing
• Referrals to specialists as needed
• Follow up visits to monitor the progress and healing of the wound
